Activate with Ctrl+Shift+R

From anywhere on your desktop, the global hotkey brings up a semi-transparent region selector. Drag to choose full screen, a specific monitor, or a custom rectangle with pixel-precise handles.

Configure in under two clicks

A compact toolbar lets you toggle microphone input, set the frame rate target, and choose your export folder. All settings are remembered between sessions so repeat recordings start immediately.

Record — with a live indicator

A discreet amber border and small elapsed-time indicator confirm recording is active. Cursor highlighting and click-flash overlays are available to ensure every interaction is visible in the output.

Stop and find your file instantly

Press Esc or the stop button. Exolus finalizes encoding in under a second and opens the output folder automatically. The file is ready to attach, upload, or embed — no waiting, no render bar.
